My new favorite spot went to the taste of Chicago trying different food and I came across them! Had to Check out their place! Beef empanadas and Puerto Rican rice omg my favorite you're going to fall in love.

We recently celebrated my Dad's & Broski's birthday at Ponce Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! My dad is proudly Puerto Rican, so we wanted to honor him with authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Initially, we had plans at a different restaurant, but due to some last-minute fees and changes (plus the unexpected loss of our 96-year-old aunt), we decided to pivot. That's when we found Ponce, and honestly, it was the best decision we could've made. From the first call, Henry, the staff member who helped us, was welcoming and accommodating. Despite calling on a Thursday to plan a Sunday celebration for about 20 people, he assured us there were no extra fees and made the entire process stress-free. When we showed up with closer to 30 people, they didn't bat an eye--they adjusted everything to make us comfortable. The ambiance was vibrant and culturally beautiful. The restaurant was clean, the tables were set up beautifully, and the music was spot on. The staff even played my Dad's favorite artist, Juan Luis Guerra, which made the celebration extra special. The service was phenomenal--big shoutout to Henry, Jessica, Carmen, and Lydia for going above and beyond to make us feel at home. They didn't rush us, didn't give us attitude, and even let us bring in our own cake. The food? Delicious! Everything came out fresh, hot, and flavorful. The drinks were fantastic too. The kids in our group had a blast, and the adults were just as happy. We are so glad we switched to Ponce--it turned what could've been a stressful situation into a beautiful celebration that my Dad & Broski will always remember. If you're looking for great food, amazing service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this is the spot. Thank you, Ponce, for giving us a celebration we'll never forget!

Fast Food truck in Berwyn on the weekends parking lot of Route 66 liquor store on Ogden - Delicious quick lunch ! Coming soon to Berwyn , you have our support Ponce ! Thank you

I was invited here by a friend. When I arrived parking was easy to find. When I entered it was busy with people. Clearly a very popular place. I chose to sit outside on this warm day and it was enjoyable. The wait staff was very busy but did really well! I tried a few things for the first time, plantain sandwich, vegetarian, and a pudding. Fabulous food. Definitely would come again?

This is by far my favorite Puerto Rican restaurant. Every time I go and order an alcapurria it is consistent and always fresh. I can't say enough about their jibarito sandwiches. This is one real authentic place.

Ordered through Door Dash and I went crazyyyyyyyy! I ordered soooo much!!! Everything was wrapped perfectly and delivered hot and fresh!!!! Not overly expensive and massive portions!!! The Parcha - Passion Fruit Juice was very refreshing! The Fuego Boricua (1/2oz) hot sauce was very good! A nice homemade hot sauce that packs a punch! 1 lb. Carne Frita - Fried Pork Chunks was good! It's a cross between chicharrones and non smoked bacon. I would say it was more than a pound. The Lechón Asado - Succulent Roast Pork dinner was good too! My only complaint is that it was a little dry. Good but a bit dry. Maybe due to the long commute? My dinner came with arroz con gandules, a salad! The arroz con gandules was cooked perfectly and had the right amount of olives. The Maduros - Sweet Fried Plantains were good. I did have a couple pieces that weren't ripe. However the ones that were were very delicious. I also had a Pastelillo - Savory Beef-Filled Turnover was full of meat and not overly greasy. The creamy garlic sauce was delicious alone, on the salad or as a dip for the pastelillo and fried pork! Great job Ponce!!!!!!!

One of the best Puerto Rican restaurants in the city, situated right in the heart of Humboldt Park, the food and flavors transport you to the island life. Bustling with patrons, serving up all the classics, they just spent time renovating their space, clean, friendly, but be prepared to wait. Food does take a bit longer than usual, especially when ordering carryout. Must try!

The food was awesome Everything was tasty and well seasoned. We had a great waiter that was friendly and helpful. The place was clean, vibrant and smelled like great food. This restaurant will definitely go on the repeat list. Note: The street parking is relatively inexpensive. $5 bucks for two hours.

I was craving whole fried fish so I searched Caribbean on Apple Maps and this place amongst a few others popped up so i made the trek from Old Town. Definitely worth the trip! The service is fine, it's a busy place with indoor and outdoor seating so the staff is quite busy shuffling from table to table. It's an authentic Puerto Rican establishment so some employees speak good English and others not too much which is fine. I knew i was getting the snapper before I arrived, however, I did substitute the side salad for pepper and onions because lettuce is my least favorite green (&I eat all my greens on rotation so that should tell you something). After placing my order, my food came out within about 15 minutes. It came out hot with a few limes on top. The side veggies came out a couple Minutes after I asked for them and with avocados which was an appreciated surprise. Having lived in NY and LA, there's always an up charge if like $4 for avocados so when they are given to you without warning and up charge then that's nice from where I sit. The tostones weren't too oily and the fish was perfect. I should have took an after shot but let's just say, I ate down. To the bone. And I am now very full. My meal was $23 before tax so that was good for me! If you are visiting Chicago and looking to eat outside of downtown and not afraid to venture out a little bit, I recommend coming here for sure.
